Terms of Service
Agreement to these terms
These Terms of Service (the “Terms”) form a binding agreement between you and Fienl (“Fienl”, “we”, “us”) governing your access to and use of the Fienl website, application, API, and related services (together, the “Service”). By creating an account, running a trace, or otherwise using the Service, you accept these Terms. If you are using the Service on behalf of an organization, you represent that you are authorized to bind that organization, and “you” refers to that organization.
What the Service does
Fienl analyses public blockchain data. You submit a wallet address; we walk the transaction graph outward from it, screen the addresses we encounter against open-source intelligence, assign a weighted risk score, and generate a written investigation summarising the findings. The Service supports multiple networks and produces graphs, risk breakdowns, dossiers, exportable reports, and optional monitoring alerts. The Service analyses on-chain information only; it does not access your private keys, custody funds, or execute transactions.
Eligibility & accounts
You must be at least 18 years old and legally able to enter into these Terms. You are responsible for the accuracy of your registration information, for safeguarding your credentials and API keys, and for all activity that occurs under your account. Notify us promptly at hello@fienl.com if you suspect unauthorized use. We may refuse, suspend, or terminate accounts at our discretion, including for violations of these Terms.
Intelligence, not legal or financial advice
Fienl produces analytical opinions built from public data and automated reasoning. Risk scores, labels, entity attributions, and written verdicts are informational and probabilistic. They are not legal, financial, investment, or compliance advice, are not a determination of guilt or wrongdoing, and are not a substitute for professional judgement or independent verification. You are solely responsible for any decision you make in reliance on the Service. Nothing produced by Fienl should be treated as a certified compliance report unless separately agreed in writing.
Accuracy & limitations
Blockchain data is public but noisy. Address labels can be incomplete or out of date, heuristics such as service-wallet detection and co-spend clustering are probabilistic, third-party data feeds may contain errors, and AI-generated narrative can be wrong. We work from facts observable in the transaction graph and instruct our models never to invent addresses, balances, or entities — but we do not warrant that any score, label, or verdict is complete, current, or error-free. The Service is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis.
Acceptable use
You may use Fienl for risk assessment, due diligence, fraud investigation, and compliance workflows. You may not use the Service to harass, stalk, or dox any individual; to evade sanctions, law enforcement, or lawful process; to launder funds or facilitate criminal activity; to scrape, resell, or redistribute the Service or its output except as expressly permitted by your plan; to reverse-engineer or circumvent access controls, rate limits, or gating; or to submit automated requests outside the API and its documented limits. We may suspend accounts that do, and cooperate with lawful requests from authorities.
Plans, credits & payment
Access is offered across a free tier and paid plans. Each plan grants a monthly allowance of traces (“credits”) and a set of features and limits described at the point of sale. Paid plans are billed in advance through our payment processor; by subscribing you authorize the applicable charge. Cryptocurrency payments are processed by a third-party provider and are subject to that provider’s terms; on-chain settlement is final once confirmed. Credits are consumed per trace and do not carry a cash value. We may change pricing, plan limits, or credit allowances prospectively, with notice before your next billing cycle.
Refunds
Because the Service delivers digital intelligence immediately and consumes third-party API resources on each trace, fees are generally non-refundable once credits have been used. Where required by applicable law, or at our discretion in cases of demonstrated service failure, we may issue a partial or full refund. Cryptocurrency settlements, once confirmed on-chain, cannot be reversed by us. Contact support@fienl.com within 14 days to raise a billing issue.
Intellectual property
The Service, including its software, design, models, scoring methodology, and brand, is owned by Fienl and protected by intellectual-property law. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the Service and its output for your internal business or personal purposes, consistent with your plan. You retain ownership of the addresses you submit and the reports generated for your account; you may use and share those reports, subject to these Terms. You may not remove Fienl branding from exported material except under a plan that expressly permits white-labelling.
Third-party data & services
The Service relies on third-party blockchain data providers, sanctions and label sources, AI providers, payment processors, and infrastructure vendors. We are not responsible for the availability, accuracy, or acts of these third parties, and their outages or errors may affect the Service. Sanctions and scam datasets are provided for reference and may not reflect the most recent designations.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Fienl and its officers, employees, and suppliers will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, data, or goodwill, arising from or related to your use of the Service — even if advised of the possibility. Our total aggregate liability for any claim will not exceed the greater of the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the event giving rise to the claim, or one hundred US dollars. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so parts of this section may not apply to you.
Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold Fienl harmless from any claim, loss, or expense (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your misuse of the Service, your violation of these Terms, or your infringement of any third-party right.
Termination
You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these Terms, if required by law, or to protect the Service. On termination your right to use the Service ends; sections that by their nature should survive — including intellectual property, disclaimers, limitation of liability, and indemnification — continue to apply.
Changes to the Service or Terms
We may modify the Service and these Terms. If a change is material we will post the updated Terms here and revise the effective date. Continuing to use the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
Governing law & disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws applicable at Fienl’s place of establishment, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules. You agree to first attempt to resolve any dispute informally by contacting us. Where a dispute cannot be resolved, it will be handled by the competent courts of that jurisdiction, unless mandatory local law provides otherwise.
